⁴ With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of ^(A)debauchery, and ^(B)they malign you;

^16 (A)having a good conscience, so that, ^(B)when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

^12 (A)Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, ^(B)they may see your good deeds and glorify God on ^(C)the day of visitation.

^10 (A)But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively.

⁶ And when they opposed and reviled him, ^(A)he shook out his garments and said to them, ^(B)“Your blood be on your own heads! ^(C)I am innocent. ^(D)From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

^45 (A)But ^(B)when the Jews^[a] saw the crowds, they were filled with ^(C)jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, ^(D)reviling him.

²² What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The ^(A)dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

^12 (A)But these, like irrational animals, ^(B)creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction,

^13 (A)Let us walk properly as in the daytime, ^(B)not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, ^(C)not in quarreling and jealousy.
