5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

A Word to Husbands
7 (B)Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, (C)as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, (D)that your prayers may not be hindered.

5 For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands, 6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, (A)calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and (B)do not fear anything that is frightening.
7 Likewise, (C)husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker (D)vessel, since they are heirs with you[a] of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
