Ang Pagpatukod ni Solomon sa Templo
6 Nagsugod si Solomon sa pagpatukod sa templo sa Ginoo sa ikaduhang bulan, nga mao ang bulan sa Ziv, niadtong ikaupat nga tuig sa iyang paghari sa Israel. Ika-480 nga tuig kadto gikan sa paggawas sa mga Israelinhon gikan sa Ehipto. 2 Ang gitas-on sa templo nga gipatukod ni Haring Solomon alang sa Ginoo 90 ka piyes, ang gilapdon 30 ka piyes, ug ang gihabugon 45 ka piyes. 3 Ang gitas-on sa balkonahe atubangan sa templo 30 ka piyes, sama gayod sa gilapdon sa templo, ug ang gilapdon niini 15 ka piyes. 4 Gipahimoan usab ni Solomon ang templo ug mga bintana nga may mga rehas-rehas.
5 Nagpahimo usab siya ug mga kuwarto sa isigka-kilid ug sa likod sa templo. Tulo kini ka andana nga gipatapot sa dingding sa templo. 6 Ang gilapdon sa unang andana pito ug tunga ka piyes, sa ikaduhang andana siyam ka piyes, ug sa ikatulong andana napulo ug tunga ka piyes. Gihagdan-hagdan ang gawas nga bahin sa dingding sa templo aron mapahimutang ang mga kuwarto nga dili na matandog ang dingding inigbutang sa mga sagbayan.
7 Ang mga bato nga gigamit sa pagpatukod sa templo giporma nang daan didto pa sa gikuhaan niini, busa walay madungog nga saba gikan sa mga martilyo, wasay, o bisan unsa nga gamit nga puthaw sa dihang gitukod kini.
8 Ang agianan paingon sa sulod sa unang andana anaa sa habagatang bahin sa templo, ug may mga hagdanan paingon sa ikaduha ug sa ikatulong andana. 9 Sa dihang natukod na ang templo, gipabutangan kini ni Solomon ug kisame nga hinimo sa tabla nga sedro. 10 Ang tulo ka andana nga mga kuwarto nga gipahimo ni Solomon sa isigka-kilid ug sa likod sa templo may gihabugon nga tag-pito ug tunga ka piyes ug gipatapot kini sa templo pinaagi sa mga kahoyng sedro.
11 Miingon ang Ginoo kang Solomon, 12-13 “Kon tumanon mo ang akong mga balaod ug mga sugo, tumanon ko usab pinaagi kanimo ang akong gisaad kang David nga imong amahan. Mopuyo ako taliwala sa mga Israelinhon niining templo nga imong gipatukod ug dili ko sila biyaan.”
14 Nahuman gayod ni Solomon ang pagpatukod sa templo.
Ang mga Gipatrabaho sa Sulod sa Templo

15 Gisapawan ang dingding sa sulod sa templo ug tabla nga sedro gikan sa ubos hangtod sa kisame, ug gisalogan kini ug tabla nga sipres. 16 Nagpahimo siya ug duha ka kuwarto sulod sa templo pinaagi sa pagbutang ug dibisyon gikan sa salog hangtod sa kisame, nga hinimo gikan sa tabla nga sedro. Ang maong kuwarto didto nahimutang sa luyo nga bahin sa templo, ug gitawag kini nga Labing Balaang Dapit. 30 ka piyes kwadrado ang gidak-on sa kuwarto. 17 Ang hawanan sa gawas sa Labing Balaang Dapit 60 ka piyes ang gitas-on. 18 Ang tibuok dingding sulod sa templo gisapawan ug tabla nga sedro, busa dili makita ang mga bato. Ang mga dingding nga sedro gidekorasyonan ug mga kinulit nga pormag kalabasa ug bulak nga nagbukhad.
19 Giandam ni Solomon ang Labing Balaang Dapit sulod sa templo aron didto ibutang ang sudlanan sa Kasabotan sa Ginoo. 20 Kwadrado ang maong kuwarto; ang gihabugon, gilapdon, ug gitas-on niini managsamang tag-30 ka piyes. Ang mga dingding ug kisame niini gipahaklapan ni Solomon ug purong bulawan, ingon man usab ang halaran nga hinimo sa kahoyng sedro. 21 Ang sulod sa templo gipahaklapan usab niya ug purong bulawan. Nagpahimo siya ug kadena nga bulawan ug gipahigot niya kini pababag sa agianan paingon sa Labing Balaang Dapit. 22 Busa nahaklapan ug bulawan ang tibuok sulod sa templo apil na ang halaran nga diha sa sulod sa Labing Balaang Dapit.
23 Sa sulod sa Labing Balaang Dapit, nagpabutang si Solomon ug duha ka kerubin nga hinimo gikan sa kahoyng olibo. Tag-15 ka piyes ang gihabugon niini. 24-26 Kining duha ka kerubin managsama ka dagko ug managsama usab ug porma. Ang matag usa dunay duha ka pako, ug ang kada pako dunay gitas-on nga pito ug tunga ka piyes. Busa ang gitas-on gikan sa tumoy sa usa ka pako hangtod sa tumoy sa pikas pako 15 ka piyes. 27 Gibutang ni Solomon kining duha ka kerubin sa sulod sa Labing Balaang Dapit nga nagtapad ug nagbukhad ang mga pako. Ang tagsa nila ka pako nagaabot diha sa tunga sa kuwarto. Ug ang isigka-pikas nilang pako midapat sa dingding. 28 Gipahaklapan usab ni Solomon ug bulawan kining duha ka kerubin.
29 Ang tibuok dingding sa duha ka kuwarto sa templo gipakulitan ni Solomon ug mga kerubin, mga palma, ug mga bulak nga nagabukhad. 30 Bisan ang mga salog niini gipahaklapan usab niya ug bulawan.
31 Ang agianan paingon sa Labing Balaang Dapit gipahimoan niyag duha ka sira nga hinimo sa kahoyng olibo, ug may mga haligi kini nga may lima ka eskina. 32 Kini nga mga pultahan gipakulitan niya ug mga kerubin, mga palma, ug mga bulak nga nagabukhad, ug gipahaklapan ug bulawan.
33 Ang pultahan sa templo gipahimoan usab ni Solomon ug kwadrado nga mga haligi nga hinimo gikan sa kahoyng olibo. 34 May duha usab kini ka sira nga hinimo sa kahoyng sipres, ug ang matag usa niini mapilo-pilo. 35 Gipakulitan usab kini ni Solomon ug mga kerubin, mga palma, ug mga bulak nga nagabukhad, ug gipahaklapan pag-ayo ug mga bulawan.
36 Nagpahimo usab siya ug hawanan sa gawas lang sa templo. Gipalibotan kini ug paril nga hinimo sa tulo ka sapaw nga batong tiniltilan nga gipaibabwan ug kahoyng sedro.
37 Gipahimutang ang pundasyon sa templo sa Ginoo sa ikaduha nga bulan, nga mao ang bulan sa Ziv, niadtong ikaupat nga tuig sa paghari ni Solomon. 38 Nahuman ang templo sa ikawalo nga bulan, nga mao ang bulan sa Bul, niadtong ika-11 nga tuig sa paghari ni Solomon. Milungtad ug pito ka tuig ang pagpatukod sa templo, ug gisunod gayod ang mga detalye sa plano niini.

Solomon Builds the Temple
6 In the four hundred eightieth year after the Israelites came out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, he began to build the house of the Lord.(A) 2 The house that King Solomon built for the Lord was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and thirty cubits high.(B) 3 The vestibule in front of the nave of the house was twenty cubits wide, across the width of the house. Its depth was ten cubits in front of the house. 4 For the house he made windows with recessed frames.[a](C) 5 He also built a structure against the wall of the house, running around the walls of the house, both the nave and the inner sanctuary, and he made side chambers all around.(D) 6 The lowest story[b] was five cubits wide, the middle one was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide, for around the outside of the house he made offsets on the wall in order that the supporting beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house.
7 The house was built with stone finished at the quarry so that neither hammer nor ax nor any tool of iron was heard in the temple while it was being built.(E)
8 The entrance for the lower[c] story was on the south side of the house: one went up by winding stairs to the middle story and from the middle story to the third. 9 So he built the house and finished it; he roofed the house with beams and planks of cedar.(F) 10 He built the structure against the whole house, each story[d] five cubits high, and it was joined to the house with timbers of cedar.
11 Now the word of the Lord came to Solomon, 12 “Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes, obey my ordinances, and keep all my commandments by walking in them, then I will establish my promise with you that I made to your father David.(G) 13 I will dwell among the Israelites and will not forsake my people Israel.”(H)
14 So Solomon built the house and finished it.(I) 15 He lined the walls of the house on the inside with boards of cedar; from the floor of the house to the rafters of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood, and he covered the floor of the house with boards of cypress. 16 He built twenty cubits of the rear of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the rafters, and he built this within as an inner sanctuary, as the most holy place.(J) 17 The house, that is, the nave in front of the inner sanctuary, was forty cubits long. 18 The cedar within the house had carvings of gourds and open flowers; all was cedar; no stone was seen.(K) 19 The inner sanctuary he prepared in the innermost part of the house, to set there the ark of the covenant of the Lord. 20 The interior of the inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty cubits high; he overlaid it with pure gold. He also overlaid the altar with cedar.[e] 21 Solomon overlaid the inside of the house with pure gold, then he drew chains of gold across, in front of the inner sanctuary, and overlaid it with gold. 22 Next he overlaid the whole house with gold, in order that the whole house might be perfect; even the whole altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary he overlaid with gold.(L)
The Furnishings of the Temple
23 In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olivewood, each ten cubits high.(M) 24 Five cubits was the length of one wing of the cherub and five cubits the length of the other wing of the cherub; it was ten cubits from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other. 25 The other cherub also measured ten cubits; both cherubim had the same measure and the same form. 26 The height of one cherub was ten cubits, and so was that of the other cherub. 27 He put the cherubim in the innermost part of the house; the wings of the cherubim were spread out so that a wing of one was touching the one wall and a wing of the other cherub was touching the other wall; their other wings toward the center of the house were touching wing to wing.(N) 28 He also overlaid the cherubim with gold.
29 He carved the walls of the house all around about with carved engravings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, in the inner and outer rooms. 30 The floor of the house he overlaid with gold, in the inner and outer rooms.
31 For the entrance to the inner sanctuary he made doors of olivewood; the lintel and the doorposts were five-sided.[f] 32 He covered the two doors of olivewood with carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers; he overlaid them with gold and spread gold on the cherubim and on the palm trees.
33 So also he made for the entrance to the nave doorposts of olivewood, four-sided each, 34 and two doors of cypress wood; the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.(O) 35 He carved cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, overlaying them with gold evenly applied upon the carved work. 36 He built the inner court with three courses of dressed stone to one course of cedar beams.(P)
37 In the fourth year the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid, in the month of Ziv.(Q) 38 In the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished in all its parts and according to all its specifications. He was seven years in building it.
