Family of David
3 These were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn was Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; second, Daniel (Chileab), by Abigail the Carmelitess; 2 third, Absalom the son of Maacah, daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; fourth, Adonijah, the son of Haggith; 3 fifth, Shephatiah, by Abital; sixth, Ithream, by his wife Eglah. 4 These six were born to David in Hebron; he reigned there seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years. 5 These were born to David in Jerusalem: [a]Shimea (Shammua), Shobab, Nathan, Solomon—four by Bath-shua (Bathsheba) daughter of Ammiel (Eliam); 6 then Ibhar, Elishama (Elishua), Eliphelet (Elpelet), 7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8 Elishama, Eliada (Beeliada), and Eliphelet—nine in all. 9 All these were the sons of David, besides the sons of the [b]concubines; and Tamar was their sister.
10 Solomon’s son was Rehoboam. Abijah was his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son, 11 [c]Joram (Jehoram) his son, Ahaziah his son, Joash his son, 12 Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son, 13 Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son, 14 Amon his son, Josiah his son. 15 The sons of Josiah: firstborn, Johanan; second, Jehoiakim (Eliakim); third, Zedekiah; fourth, Shallum (Jehoahaz). 16 The sons (descendants) of Jehoiakim: Jehoiachin (Jeconiah) his son, Zedekiah his son. 17 The sons (descendants) of Jehoiachin (Jeconiah) the prisoner: Shealtiel his son, 18 Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama and Nedabiah. 19 The sons of Pedaiah: Zerubbabel and Shimei. The sons of Zerubbabel: Meshullam and Hananiah, and Shelomith was their sister; 20 and Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-hesed—five in all. 21 The sons of Hananiah: Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shecaniah. 22 The sons (descendants) of Shecaniah: Shemaiah. The sons of Shemaiah: Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat—six in all. 23 The sons of Neariah: Elioenai, Hizkiah, and Azrikam—three in all. 24 The sons of Elioenai: Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah, and Anani—seven in all.

3 Questi furono i figli di Davide, che gli nacquero a Hebron il primogenito fu Amnon, da Ahinoam, la Jezreelita; il secondo fu Daniel, da Abigail la Karmelita;
2 Il terzo fu Absalom, figlio di Maakah figlia di Talmai, re di Gheshur; il quarto fu Adonijah, figlio di Hagghith;
3 il quinto fu Scefatiah, da Abital; il sesto fu Ithream, da Eglah, sua moglie.
4 Questi sei gli nacquero a Hebron. Egli là regnò sette anni e sei mesi, mentre in Gerusalemme, regnò trentatre anni.
5 Questi invece gli nacquero in Gerusalemme: Scimea, Shobab, Nathan e Salomone, ossia quattro figli natigli da Bath-Sceba, figlia di Ammiel.
6 C'erano inoltre Ibhar, Elishama, Elifelet,
7 Nogah, Nefeg, Jafia,
8 Elishama, Eliada ed Elifelet, nove in tutto.
9 Tutti questi furono i figli di Davide, senza contare i figli delle sue concubine. Tamar era loro sorella.
10 Il figlio di Salomone fu Roboamo, il cui figlio fu Abijah, il cui figlio fu Asa, il cui figlio fu Giosafat,
11 il cui figlio fu Joram, il cui figlio fu Ahaziah, il cui figlio fu Joas,
12 il cui figlio fu Amatsiah, il cui figlio fu Azariah, il cui figlio fu Jotham
13 il cui figlio fu Achaz, il cui figlio fu Ezechia, il cui figlio fu Manasse,
14 il cui figlio fu Amon, il cui figlio fu Giosia.
15 I figli di Giosia furono Johnan il primogenito, Jehoiakim il secondo, Sedekia il terzo e Shallum il quarto.
16 I figli di Jehoiakim furono suo figlio Jekoniah, il cui figlio fu Sedekia.
17 I figli di Jekoniah, il prigioniero, furono suo figlio Scealtiel,
18 e Malkiram, Pedaiah, Scenatsar, Jekamiah, Hoshama e Nedabiah.
19 I figli di Pedaiah furono Zorobabele e Scimei. I figli di Zorobabele furono Meshullam e Hananiah, e Scelomith, loro sorella:
20 poi Hashubah, Ohel, Berekiah, Hasadiah e Jushab-Hesed, cinque in tutto.
21 I figli di Hananiah furono Pelatiah e Jeshaiah, i figli di Refaiah, i figli di Arnan, i figli di Obadiah, i figli di Scekaniah.
22 Il figlio di Scekaniah fu Scemaiah. I figli di Scemaiah furono Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah e Shafath, sei in tutto.
23 I figli di Neariah furono Elioenai, Ezechia e Azrikam, tre in tutto.
24 I figli di Elioenai furono Hodaviah, Eliascib. Pelaiah. Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah e Anani, sette in tutto.
