Kung Davids barn
3 (A) Dessa var de söner som föddes åt David i Hebron:
Amnon, den förstfödde,
av Ahinoam från Jisreel,
Daniel, den andre,
av Abigail från Karmel,
2 Absalom, den tredje, son till Maaka, som var dotter till Talmaj, kungen i Geshur,
Adonia, den fjärde, Haggits son,
3 Shefatja, den femte, av Abital,
Jitream, den sjätte, av hans hustru Egla.
4 (B) Dessa sex föddes åt honom i Hebron, där han regerade i sju år och sex månader.
I Jerusalem regerade han i trettiotre år. 5 (C) Dessa söner föddes åt honom i Jerusalem: Shimea, Sobab, Natan och Salomo, tillsammans fyra, av Bat-Shua, Ammiels dotter[a]. 6 Dessutom Jibnar, Elishama, Elifelet, 7 Noga, Nefeg, Jafia, 8 Elishama, Eljada och Elifelet, tillsammans nio. 9 (D) Dessa var alla Davids söner, förutom sönerna med bihustrurna. Tamar var deras syster.

17 Jekonjas söner i fångenskap var: hans son Shealtiel[c], 18 dessutom Malkiram, Pedaja, Senassar, Jekamja, Hoshama och Nedabja.
19 Pedajas[d] söner var Serubbabel och Shimei,
Serubbabels söner var Meshullam och Hananja, och deras syster var Shelomit[e], 20 dessutom Hashuba, Ohel, Berekja, Hasadja och Jushab-Hesed, tillsammans fem.
21 Hananjas söner var Pelatja och Jesaja, dessutom Refajas söner, Arnans söner, Obadjas söner och Shekanjas söner.
22 Shekanjas son var Shemaja.
Shemajas söner var Hattush[f], Jigal, Baria, Nearja och Shafat, tillsammans sex.
23 Nearjas söner var Eljoenaj, Hiskia och Asrikam, tillsammans tre.
24 Eljoenajs söner[g] var Hodavja, Eljashib, Pelaja, Ackub, Johanan, Delaja och Anani, tillsammans sju.

- 3:19 Pedaja Serubbabel kallas på andra ställen för Shealtiels son (t ex Esra 3:2). Kanske beror det dubbla faderskapet på lagen om leviratäktenskap (5 Mos 25:5f, Luk 3:23, 20:28): om en man avled skulle hans bror ta till sig änkan, och deras första barn skulle räknas som den dödes ättling.

3 (A)Now these were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn was Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second was Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelitess; 2 the third was Absalom the son of Maacah, the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth was Adonijah the son of Haggith; 3 the fifth was Shephatiah, by Abital; the sixth was Ithream, by his wife Eglah. 4 Six were born to him in Hebron, and (B)he reigned there for seven years and six months. And in Jerusalem he reigned for thirty-three years. 5 (C)These were the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and (D)Solomon, four by (E)Bath-shua the daughter of Ammiel; 6 and Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet, 7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine. 9 All of these were the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines; and (F)Tamar was their sister.
10 Now Solomon’s son was Rehoboam, then Abijah was his son, Asa, his son, Jehoshaphat, his son, 11 Joram, his son, Ahaziah, his son, Joash, his son, 12 Amaziah, his son, Azariah, his son, Jotham, his son, 13 Ahaz, his son, Hezekiah, his son, Manasseh, his son, 14 Amon, his son, and Josiah, his son. 15 The sons of Josiah were Johanan, the firstborn, the second was Jehoiakim, the third, Zedekiah, and the fourth, Shallum. 16 The sons of Jehoiakim were his son Jeconiah and his son Zedekiah. 17 The sons of Jeconiah, the prisoner, were his son Shealtiel 18 and Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah. 19 The sons of Pedaiah were Zerubbabel and Shimei. And the [a]sons of Zerubbabel were Meshullam and Hananiah, and Shelomith was their sister; 20 and Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-hesed, five. 21 The [b]sons of Hananiah were Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shecaniah. 22 The [c]descendants of Shecaniah were Shemaiah, and the sons of Shemaiah: Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat, six. 23 The [d]sons of Neariah were Elioenai, Hizkiah, and Azrikam, three. 24 The sons of Elioenai were Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah, and Anani, seven.

The Sons of David(A)(B)
3 These were the sons of David(C) born to him in Hebron:
The firstborn was Amnon the son of Ahinoam(D) of Jezreel;(E)
the second, Daniel the son of Abigail(F) of Carmel;
2 the third, Absalom the son of Maakah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;
the fourth, Adonijah(G) the son of Haggith;
3 the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;
and the sixth, Ithream, by his wife Eglah.
4 These six were born to David in Hebron,(H) where he reigned seven years and six months.(I)
David reigned in Jerusalem thirty-three years, 5 and these were the children born to him there:
Shammua,[a] Shobab, Nathan and Solomon. These four were by Bathsheba[b](J) daughter of Ammiel. 6 There were also Ibhar, Elishua,[c] Eliphelet, 7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8 Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet—nine in all. 9 All these were the sons of David, besides his sons by his concubines. And Tamar(K) was their sister.(L)

Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, and the sons of Rephaiah, of Arnan, of Obadiah and of Shekaniah.
22 The descendants of Shekaniah:
Shemaiah and his sons:
Hattush,(AK) Igal, Bariah, Neariah and Shaphat—six in all.
23 The sons of Neariah:
Elioenai, Hizkiah and Azrikam—three in all.
24 The sons of Elioenai:
