³⁰Och varför undsätta vi oss själva var stund för faror?

³¹Ty -- så sant jag i Kristus Jesus, vår Herre, kan berömma mig av eder, mina bröder -- jag lider döden dag efter dag.

³²Om jag hade tänkt såsom människor pläga tänka, när jag i Efesus kämpade mot vilddjuren, vad gagnade mig då det jag gjorde? Om döda icke uppstå -- »låtom oss då äta och dricka, ty i morgon måste vi dö».

³⁰And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every hour?^(A) ³¹I face death every day^(B)—yes, just as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord. ³²If I fought wild beasts^(C) in Ephesus^(D) with no more than human hopes, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised,

“Let us eat and drink,
