Hilfe für die Gemeinde in Jerusalem
16 Zum Schluss will ich noch etwas zur Geldsammlung für die Christen in Jerusalem sagen. Führt sie so durch, wie ich es auch für die Gemeinden in Galatien angeordnet habe. 2 An jedem Sonntag soll jeder von euch dafür so viel Geld zurücklegen, wie es ihm möglich ist. Dann braucht ihr mit dem Sammeln nicht erst anzufangen, wenn ich komme. 3 Gleich nach meiner Ankunft sollen dann Männer aus eurer Gemeinde, die ihr für zuverlässig erachtet, das Geld nach Jerusalem bringen. Ich werde ihnen Empfehlungsschreiben für unterwegs mitgeben. 4 Sollte es nötig sein, werde ich selbst mit ihnen reisen.

5 Ich werde zu euch kommen, sobald ich die Gemeinden in der Provinz Mazedonien besucht habe. Dort will ich mich nicht lange aufhalten; 6 aber bei euch möchte ich eine Zeit lang bleiben, vielleicht sogar den ganzen Winter über. Es wäre gut, wenn ihr mich dann für die Weiterreise versorgen könntet. 7 Wenn ich sehr bald zu euch käme, könnte ich euch nur auf der Durchreise besuchen. Aber das will ich nicht. Wenn der Herr es zulässt, hoffe ich, einige Zeit bei euch verbringen zu können. 8 Bis Pfingsten bleibe ich noch in Ephesus. 9 Hier hat mir Gott viele offene Türen geschenkt, um die rettende Botschaft zu verkünden, und dadurch haben zahlreiche Menschen zum Glauben gefunden; gleichzeitig sind auch viele Gegner da.
10 Wenn Timotheus zu euch kommt, sorgt bitte dafür, dass er nicht entmutigt wird. Denn er arbeitet wie ich für den Herrn. 11 Niemand darf ihn herablassend behandeln. Seht zu, dass ihr ihn für die Weiterreise versorgt und er sich dann in Frieden von euch verabschieden kann. Er soll unbeschwert wieder zu mir zurückkommen, denn wir alle erwarten ihn hier[a]. 12 Unseren Mitarbeiter Apollos habe ich immer wieder gebeten, euch mit den anderen Brüdern zu besuchen, aber er meinte, es sei jetzt nicht angebracht. Sobald sich eine andere Gelegenheit bietet, wird er kommen.

13 Seid wachsam und steht fest im Glauben! Seid entschlossen und stark! 14 Bei allem, was ihr tut, lasst euch von der Liebe leiten.
15 Noch eins, liebe Brüder und Schwestern: Ihr kennt doch Stephanas und alle, die bei ihm leben. Sie waren die ersten Christen in der Provinz Achaja und haben sich ganz für den Dienst in der Gemeinde zur Verfügung gestellt. 16 Hört auf solche Leute und auf alle anderen, die mitarbeiten und ihr Bestes geben. 17 Ich freue mich, dass Stephanas, Fortunatus und Achaikus zu mir gekommen sind. Sie haben mir darüber hinweggeholfen, dass ich nicht bei euch sein konnte. 18 Ja, sie haben mir neuen Mut gegeben, so wie sie auch euch ermutigt haben. Nehmt euch diese Männer zum Vorbild!
19 Die Gemeinden der Provinz Asia senden euch herzliche Grüße. Aquila und Priska lassen euch ebenfalls grüßen, zusammen mit der Gemeinde, die sich in ihrem Haus versammelt. Sie wissen sich durch Christus, den Herrn, mit euch verbunden.
20 Auch die Brüder und Schwestern hier haben mich gebeten, euch zu grüßen. Grüßt einander mit dem Friedenskuss!
21 Und hier noch mein Gruß an euch, den ich, Paulus, mit eigener Hand schreibe.
22 Wer den Herrn nicht liebt, den soll Gottes Urteil treffen! Unser Herr, komm! 23 Die Gnade unseres Herrn Jesus sei mit euch!
24 Meine Liebe gilt euch allen. Ich bin durch Jesus Christus mit euch verbunden.

16 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. 4 And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
5 Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia. 6 And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go. 7 For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit. 8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. 9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.
10 Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do. 11 Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren. 12 As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.
13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 14 Let all your things be done with charity.
15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,) 16 that ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth. 17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied. 18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. 20 All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.
21 The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand.
22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
