⁴ Now if you ^(A)walk before Me ^(B)as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you ^(C)keep My statutes and My judgments,

⁵ because David ^(A)did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, ^(B)except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

¹⁴ So ^(A)if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, ^(B)as your father David walked, then I will ^(C)lengthen^[a] your days.”

⁶ Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and did not fully follow the Lord, as did his father David.

⁴ For it was so, when Solomon was old, ^(A)that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his ^(B)heart was not ^[a]loyal to the Lord his God, ^(C)as was the heart of his father David.

17 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord ^(B)appeared to Abram and said to him, ^(C)“I am ^[a]Almighty God; ^(D)walk before Me and be ^(E)blameless.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
