1 Kings 8:47-49
Holman Christian Standard Bible
47 and when they come to their senses[a]
in the land where they were deported
and repent and petition You in their captors’ land:
“We have sinned and done wrong;
we have been wicked,”(A)
48 and when they return to You with their whole mind and heart
in the land of their enemies who took them captive,(B)
and when they pray to You in the direction of their land
that You gave their ancestors,
the city You have chosen,(C)
and the temple I have built for Your name,
49 may You hear in heaven, Your dwelling place,
their prayer and petition and uphold their cause.

International Standard Version
47 if they turn their hearts back to you[a] in the land where they have been taken captive, repent, and pray to you—even if they do so in the land of their captivity—confessing, ‘We have sinned, we have committed abominations, and practiced wickedness,’ 48 if they return to you with all of their heart and with all of their soul in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, as they pray to you in the direction of their land that you have given to their ancestors and to the city that you have chosen, and to the Temple that I have built for your name, 49 then hear their prayer and requests in heaven, where you reside, and fight for their cause,
