GOD’S WORD Translation
7 But Jehoshaphat asked, “Isn’t there a prophet of the Lord whom we could ask?”
8 The king of Israel told Jehoshaphat, “We can ask the Lord through Micaiah, son of Imlah, but I hate him. He doesn’t prophesy anything good about me, only evil.”
Jehoshaphat answered, “The king must not say that.”
9 The king of Israel called for an officer and said, “Quick! ⌞Get⌟ Micaiah, son of Imlah!”

7 But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there no longer a prophet(A) of the Lord here whom we can inquire(B) of?”
8 The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat, “There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the Lord, but I hate(C) him because he never prophesies anything good(D) about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.”
“The king should not say such a thing,” Jehoshaphat replied.
9 So the king of Israel called one of his officials and said, “Bring Micaiah son of Imlah at once.”

7 And (A)Jehoshaphat said, “Is there not still a prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of [a]Him?”
8 So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is still one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the Lord; but I hate him, because he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.”
And Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king say such things!”
9 Then the king of Israel called an officer and said, “Bring Micaiah the son of Imlah quickly!”

7 కాని యెహోషాపాతు, “యెహోవా యొక్క ప్రవక్త మరెవరైనా ఇక్కడ వున్నారా? వుంటే అతడు అహాబు ఏమి చేయాలో దేవుని అడిగి తెలుసుకోవాలి” అని అన్నాడు.
8 “మరో ప్రవక్త వున్నాడు. అతని పేరు మీకాయా, అతడు ఇమ్లా కుమారుడు. కాని నేనతనిని అనహ్యించుకుంటాను. అతడు యెహోవా తరపున మాట్లాడినప్పుడు, అతడెప్పుడూ నాకు మంచి చెప్పడు. నాకు ఇష్టం లేని విషయాలే అతడెప్పుడూ చెపుతాడు” అని అహాబు అన్నాడు.
“అహాబు రాజా, నీవు అలా అనకూడదు” అని యెహోషాపాతు అన్నాడు.
9 కావున రాజైన అహాబు తన అధికారులలో ఒకనిని పిలిచి మీకాయా కొరకు వెళ్లి ఎక్కడున్నాడో చూడమన్నాడు.
