God’s Revelation to Elijah

¹¹ Then He said, “Go out, and stand ^(A)on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord ^(B)passed by, and ^(C)a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; ¹² and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire ^[a]a still small voice.

The Coming Rejection

^26 (A)“But when the ^[a]Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, ^(B)He will testify of Me.

Coming of the Holy Spirit

2 When ^(A)the Day of Pentecost had fully come, ^(B)they were all ^[a]with one accord in one place. ² And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and ^(C)it filled the whole house where they were sitting. ³ Then there appeared to them ^[b]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. ⁴ And ^(D)they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began ^(E)to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

¹⁷ Now ^(A)the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is ^(B)liberty.

⁸ He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
