³² and with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord. And he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two seahs^[a] of seed.

¹⁷ And ^(A)whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, ^(B)giving thanks to God the Father through him.

³¹ So, whether you eat or drink, or ^(A)whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

¹⁷ Then he would return to ^(A)Ramah, for his home was there, and there also he judged Israel. ^(B)And he built there an altar to the Lord.

⁹ So Samuel took a nursing lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord. And ^(A)Samuel cried out to the Lord for Israel, and the Lord answered him.

⁴ And the next day the people rose early and ^(A)built there an altar and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.

²⁶ and build an altar to the Lord your God on the top of the ^(A)stronghold here, with stones laid in due order. Then take the second bull and offer it as a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah that you shall cut down.”

²⁴ An altar of earth you shall make for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. ^(A)In every place where I cause my name to be remembered I will come to you and ^(B)bless you. ^25 (C)If you make me an altar of stone, ^(D)you shall not build it of hewn stones, for if you wield your tool on it you profane it.
