21 Now all King Solomon’s drinking utensils were of gold, and all the utensils of the house of the timber of Lebanon were of pure gold. None was of silver; it was not considered as amounting to anything in the days of Solomon. 22 For (A)the king had the ships of Tarshish at sea with Hiram’s ships; once every three years the ships of Tarshish would come carrying gold and silver, ivory, monkeys, and peacocks.
23 (B)So King Solomon became greater than all the kings of the earth in wealth and wisdom.

Not one was silver, for this was accounted as nothing in the days of Solomon. 22 For the king had (B)merchant[a] ships at sea with the fleet of Hiram. Once every three years the merchant (C)ships came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and [b]monkeys. 23 So (D)King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

Once every three years the fleet of ships of Tarshish used to come bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.[a]
23 (C)Thus King Solomon excelled all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom.

22 For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram: once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
23 So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.
