⁶ Then the priests ^(A)brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to ^(B)its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the Most Holy Place, ^(C)under the wings of the cherubim.

²⁷ Then he set the cherubim inside the inner ^[a]room; and ^(A)they stretched out the wings of the cherubim so that the wing of the one touched one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall. And their wings touched each other in the middle of the room.

¹⁹ And he prepared the ^[a]inner sanctuary inside the temple, to set the ark of the covenant of the Lord there.

¹⁷ So ^(A)they brought the ark of the Lord, and set it in ^(B)its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then David ^(C)offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.

³³ And you shall hang the veil from the clasps. Then you shall bring ^(A)the ark of the Testimony in there, behind the veil. The veil shall be a divider for you between ^(B)the holy place and the Most Holy. ^34 (C)You shall put the mercy seat upon the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy.

⁵ And the ^(A)sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even in the outer court, like ^(B)the voice of Almighty God when He speaks.

¹⁶ “O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You ^(A)alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
