⁵⁶ “Blessed be the Lord, who has given ^(A)rest^[a] to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. ^(B)There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.

¹⁴ “Behold, this day ^(A)I^[a] am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that ^(B)not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed. ^15 (C)Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all the good things have come upon you which the Lord your God promised you, so the Lord will bring upon you ^(D)all harmful things, until He has destroyed you from this good land which the Lord your God has given you.

^44 (A)The Lord gave them ^(B)rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And ^(C)not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. ^45 (D)Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

^33 (A)Heaven and earth will pass away, but My ^(B)words will by no means pass away.

¹⁹ So Samuel ^(A)grew, and ^(B)the Lord was with him ^(C)and let none of his words ^[a]fall to the ground.

¹⁰ But when you cross over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to inherit, and He gives you ^(A)rest from all your enemies round about, so that you dwell in safety,

²⁰ until the Lord has given ^(A)rest to your brethren as to you, and they also possess the land which the Lord your God is giving them beyond the Jordan. Then each of you may ^(B)return to his possession which I have given you.’

³ For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:

although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. ⁴ For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: ^(B)“And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; ⁵ and again in this place: ^(C)“They shall not enter My rest.”

⁶ Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, ⁷ again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said:

⁸ For if ^[a]Joshua had ^(E)given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. ⁹ There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
