⁸ His own house where he was to dwell, in the other court back of the hall, was of like workmanship. Solomon also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh's daughter ^(A)whom he had taken in marriage.

^11 (A)Solomon brought Pharaoh's daughter up from the city of David to the house that he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not live in the house of David king of Israel, for the places to which the ark of the Lord has come are holy.”

Solomon's Prayer for Wisdom

3 ^(A)Solomon made a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt. He took Pharaoh's daughter and brought her into ^(B)the city of David until he had finished ^(C)building his own house ^(D)and the house of the Lord ^(E)and the wall around Jerusalem.

²⁴ But ^(A)Pharaoh's daughter went up from the city of David to ^(B)her own house that Solomon had built for her. ^(C)Then he built ^(D)the Millo.

⁴ And before Isaiah had gone out of the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him:
