⁴⁹ the lampstands of pure gold, five on the right side and five on the left in front of the inner sanctuary, with the flowers and the lamps and the wick-trimmers of gold;

^7 (A)And he made ten lampstands of gold ^(B)according to their design, and set them in the temple, five on the right side and five on the left.

²⁰ The ^[a]mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are ^(A)the ^[b]angels of the seven churches, and ^(B)the seven lampstands ^[c]which you saw are the seven churches.

The Loveless Church

2 “To the ^[d]angel of the church of Ephesus write,

‘These things says ^(C)He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, ^(D)who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:

^14 (A)“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Nor do they ^(B)light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. ¹⁶ Let your light so shine before men, ^(C)that they may see your good works and ^(D)glorify your Father in heaven.

¹¹ Then I answered and said to him, “What are these ^(A)two olive trees—at the right of the lampstand and at its left?” ¹² And I further answered and said to him, “What are these two olive branches that drip ^[a]into the receptacles of the two gold pipes from which the golden oil drains?”

¹³ Then he answered me and said, “Do you not know what these are?”

And I said, “No, my lord.”

¹⁴ So he said, ^(B)“These are the two ^[b]anointed ones, ^(C)who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.”

Vision of the Lampstand and Olive Trees

4 Now ^(A)the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, ^(B)as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. ² And he said to me, “What do you see?”

So I said, “I am looking, and there is ^(C)a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, ^(D)and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. ^3 (E)Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.”

²⁰ the lampstands with their lamps of pure gold, to burn ^(A)in the prescribed manner in front of the inner sanctuary,

⁹ And they shall take a blue cloth and cover the ^(A)lampstand of the light, ^(B)with its lamps, its wick-trimmers, its trays, and all its oil vessels, with which they service it.

^24 (A)He put the lampstand in the tabernacle of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the tabernacle; ²⁵ and ^(B)he lit the lamps before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
