²⁹ on the panels that were between the frames were lions, oxen, and cherubim. And on the frames was a pedestal on top. Below the lions and oxen were wreaths of plaited work.

⁵ But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, ^(A)the Lion of the tribe of ^(B)Judah, ^(C)the Root of David, has ^(D)prevailed to open the scroll ^(E)and ^[a]to loose its seven seals.”

⁶ Before the throne there ^[a]was ^(A)a sea of glass, like crystal. ^(B)And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. ^7 (C)The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.

⁵ you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

⁵ and ^(A)above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.

¹⁸ And it was made ^(A)with cherubim and ^(B)palm trees, a palm tree between cherub and cherub. Each cherub had two faces, ^19 (C)so that the face of a man was toward a palm tree on one side, and the face of a young lion toward a palm tree on the other side; thus it was made throughout the temple all around.

^14 (A)Each one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, the second face the face of a man, the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

¹⁰ As for ^(A)the likeness of their faces, each ^(B)had the face of a man; each of the four had ^(C)the face of a lion on the right side, ^(D)each of the four had the face of an ox on the left side, ^(E)and each of the four had the face of an eagle.
