¹⁹ And he prepared the ^[a]inner sanctuary inside the temple, to set the ark of the covenant of the Lord there.

^3 (A)and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, ⁴ which had the ^(B)golden censer and ^(C)the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were ^(D)the golden pot that had the manna, ^(E)Aaron’s rod that budded, and ^(F)the tablets of the covenant;

⁷ Then the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place, into the ^(A)inner sanctuary of the ^[a]temple, to the Most Holy Place, under the wings of the cherubim.

²⁰ the lampstands with their lamps of pure gold, to burn ^(A)in the prescribed manner in front of the inner sanctuary,

⁶ Then the priests ^(A)brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to ^(B)its place, into the inner sanctuary of the temple, to the Most Holy Place, ^(C)under the wings of the cherubim. ⁷ For the cherubim spread their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim overshadowed the ark and its poles. ⁸ The poles ^(D)extended so that the ^[a]ends of the poles could be seen from the holy place, in front of the inner sanctuary; but they could not be seen from outside. And they are there to this day. ^9 (E)Nothing was in the ark ^(F)except the two tablets of stone which Moses ^(G)put there at Horeb, ^(H)when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁰ And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud ^(I)filled the house of the Lord,

¹⁶ Then he built the twenty-cubit room at the rear of the temple, from floor to ceiling, with cedar boards; he built it inside as the inner sanctuary, as the ^(A)Most Holy Place.

⁵ Against the wall of the ^[a]temple he built ^(A)chambers all around, against the walls of the temple, all around the sanctuary ^(B)and the ^[b]inner sanctuary. Thus he made side chambers all around it.

²⁰ He took ^(A)the Testimony and put it into the ark, inserted the poles through the rings of the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark. ²¹ And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, ^(B)hung up the veil of the covering, and partitioned off the ark of the Testimony, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
