¹³ Moreover, I will give you what you have not^(A) asked for—both wealth and honor^(B)—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal^(C) among kings.

²⁰ Now to him who is able^(A) to do immeasurably more than all we ask^(B) or imagine, according to his power^(C) that is at work within us,

³³ But seek first his kingdom^(A) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.^(B)

³² He who did not spare his own Son,^(A) but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

²¹ And Solomon ruled^(A) over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River^(B) to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt.^(C) These countries brought tribute^(D) and were Solomon’s subjects all his life.

²² Solomon’s daily provisions^(E) were thirty cors^[a] of the finest flour and sixty cors^[b] of meal, ²³ ten head of stall-fed cattle, twenty of pasture-fed cattle and a hundred sheep and goats, as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks and choice fowl.^{(F) 24} For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah^(G) to Gaza, and had peace^(H) on all sides.

²² whether Paul or Apollos^(A) or Cephas^[a](B) or the world or life or death or the present or the future^(C)—all are yours, ²³ and you are of Christ,^(D) and Christ is of God.

²³ King Solomon was greater in riches^(A) and wisdom^(B) than all the other kings of the earth. ²⁴ The whole world sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom^(C) God had put in his heart. ²⁵ Year after year, everyone who came brought a gift^(D)—articles of silver and gold, robes, weapons and spices, and horses and mules.

²⁶ Solomon accumulated chariots and horses;^(E) he had fourteen hundred chariots and twelve thousand horses,^[a] which he kept in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem. ²⁷ The king made silver as common^(F) in Jerusalem as stones,^(G) and cedar as plentiful as sycamore-fig^(H) trees in the foothills. ²⁸ Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and from Kue^[b]—the royal merchants purchased them from Kue at the current price. ²⁹ They imported a chariot from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty.^[c] They also exported them to all the kings of the Hittites^(I) and of the Arameans.
