⁴² Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

Jehoram Reigns in Judah^(A)

¹⁶ Now ^(B)in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, Jehoshaphat having been king of Judah, ^(C)Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat began to reign as ^[a]king of Judah.

¹⁷ So Ahaziah died according to the word of the Lord which Elijah had spoken. Because he had no son, ^(A)Jehoram^[a] became king in his place, in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah.

¹⁰ And he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem. His grandmother’s name was Maachah the granddaughter of Abishalom.

² He reigned three years in Jerusalem. ^(A)His mother’s name was ^(B)Maachah the granddaughter of ^(C)Abishalom.

Rehoboam Reigns in Judah^(A)

²¹ And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. ^(B)Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king. He reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city ^(C)which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put His name there. ^(D)His mother’s name was Naamah, an Ammonitess.
