⁴² Jehoshaphat was thirty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

Jehoram Reigns in Judah

¹⁶ In the fifth year of ^(A)Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, when Jehoshaphat was king of Judah,^[a] Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, began to reign.

¹⁷ So he died according to the word of the Lord that Elijah had spoken. Jehoram became king in his place ^(A)in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, because Ahaziah had no son.

¹⁰ and he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

Rehoboam Reigns in Judah

^21 (A)Now Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, ^(B)the city that the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. ^(C)His mother's name was Naamah the Ammonite.
