³⁵ The battle increased that day; and the king was propped up in his chariot, facing the Syrians, and died at evening. The blood ran out from the wound onto the floor of the chariot.

²⁸ But Micaiah said, “If you ever return in peace, ^(A)the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said, “Take heed, all you people!”

⁴² Then he said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ^(A)‘Because you have let slip out of your hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore your life shall go for his life, and your people for his people.’ ”
