¹⁸ “Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, ^(A)who lives in Samaria. There he is, in the vineyard of Naboth, where he has gone down to take possession of it.

^9 (A)Then he searched for Ahaziah; and they caught him (he was hiding in Samaria), and brought him to Jehu. When they had killed him, they buried him, “because,” they said, “he is the son of ^(B)Jehoshaphat, who ^(C)sought the Lord with all his heart.”

So the house of Ahaziah had no one to assume power over the kingdom.

^32 (A)For the ^[a]saying which he cried out by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel, and against all the ^[b]shrines on the high places which are in the cities of ^(B)Samaria, will surely come to pass.”
