¹⁰ Then Ben-Hadad sent to him and said, ^(A)“The gods do so to me, and more also, if enough dust is left of Samaria for a handful for each of the people ^[a]who follow me.”

² Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, ^(A)“So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.”

⁸ And ^(A)all these your servants shall come down to me and bow down to me, saying, ‘Get out, and all the people who follow you!’ After that I will go out.” ^(B)Then he went out from Pharaoh in great anger.

¹² And when it was day, ^(A)some of the Jews banded together and bound themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had ^(B)killed Paul.

^13 (A)For he says:

¹² So we will come upon him in some place where he may be found, and we will fall on him as the dew falls on the ground. And of him and all the men who are with him there shall not be left so much as one. ¹³ Moreover, if he has withdrawn into a city, then all Israel shall bring ropes to that city; and we will ^(A)pull it into the river, until there is not one small stone found there.”
