³⁷ For on the day you go out and cross ^(A)the brook Kidron, know for certain that you shall die. ^(B)Your blood shall be on your own head.”

²³ And all the land wept aloud as all the people passed by, and the king crossed ^(A)the brook ^(B)Kidron, and all the people passed on toward ^(C)the wilderness.

¹⁶ And David said to him, ^(A)“Your blood be on your head, for your own mouth has testified against you, saying, ‘I have killed ^(B)the Lord's anointed.’”

¹⁹ Then if anyone goes out of the doors of your house into the street, ^(A)his blood shall be on his own head, and we shall be guiltless. But if a hand is laid on anyone who is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head.

Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus

18 When Jesus had spoken these words, ^(A)he went out with his disciples across ^(B)the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which he and his disciples entered.

^13 (A)lends at interest, and takes profit; shall he then live? He shall not live. He has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; ^(B)his blood shall be upon himself.

⁶ And he brought out ^(A)the Asherah from the house of the Lord, outside Jerusalem, to the brook Kidron, ^(B)and burned it at the brook Kidron ^(C)and beat it to dust and cast the dust of it upon the graves ^(D)of the common people.

⁹ For ^(A)anyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother; ^(B)his blood is upon him.

^40 (A)The whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes, and all the fields as far as the ^(B)brook Kidron, to the corner of ^(C)the Horse Gate toward the east, ^(D)shall be sacred to the Lord. ^(E)It shall not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever.”

¹⁶ The priests went into the inner part of the house of the Lord to cleanse it, and they brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the Lord into the court of the house of the Lord. And the Levites took it and carried it out to ^(A)the brook Kidron.
