³ and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, ^(A)that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn,

^9 (A)Therefore keep the words of this covenant and do them, that you may prosper^[a] in all that you do.

¹⁸ “And when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, ^(A)he shall write for himself in a book a copy of this law, ^(B)approved by^[a] the Levitical priests. ¹⁹ And ^(C)it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, ^(D)that he may learn to fear the Lord his God by keeping all the words of this law and these statutes, and doing them, ²⁰ that his heart may not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he ^(E)may not turn aside from the commandment, either to the right hand or to the left, ^(F)so that he may continue long in his kingdom, he and his children, in Israel.

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

^12 (A)Only, may the Lord grant you discretion and understanding, that when he gives you charge over Israel you may keep the law of the Lord your God. ^13 (B)Then you will prosper if you are careful to observe the statutes and the rules that the Lord commanded Moses for Israel. ^(C)Be strong and courageous. Fear not; do not be dismayed.

²⁰ Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, ^(A)and he did what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. ²¹ And every work that he undertook in the service of the house of God and in accordance with the law and the commandments, seeking his God, he did with all his heart, and prospered.
