¹³ He even deposed his grandmother Maakah^(A) from her position as queen mother,^(B) because she had made a repulsive image for the worship of Asherah. Asa cut it down^(C) and burned it in the Kidron Valley.

³² “‘Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect^(A) for the elderly^(B) and revere your God.^(C) I am the Lord.^(D)

³ “‘Each of you must respect your mother and father,^(A) and you must observe my Sabbaths.^(B) I am the Lord your God.^(C)

³³ He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
