²⁴ Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now by this ^(A)I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is the truth.”

³⁰ Now we are sure that ^(A)You know all things, and have no need that anyone should question You. By this ^(B)we believe that You came forth from God.”

^2 (A)This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for ^(B)no one can do these signs that You do unless ^(C)God is with him.”

¹¹ This ^(A)beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, ^(B)and ^[a]manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

²¹ I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

Their Conversion

¹³ For this reason we also thank God ^(A)without ceasing, because when you ^(B)received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it ^(C)not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively ^(D)works in you who believe.

²⁴ If I had not done among them ^(A)the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have ^(B)seen and also hated both Me and My Father.

⁴² And I know that You always hear Me, but ^(A)because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”

¹⁵ And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.”

⁴² Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for ^(A)we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed ^[a]the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

Welcome at Galilee

⁴³ Now after the two days He departed from there and went to Galilee. ⁴⁴ For ^(B)Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country. ⁴⁵ So when He came to Galilee, the Galileans received Him, ^(C)having seen all the things He did in Jerusalem at the feast; ^(D)for they also had gone to the feast.

A Nobleman’s Son Healed

⁴⁶ So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee ^(E)where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain ^[b]nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. ⁴⁷ When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. ⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, ^(F)“Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
