Zimri King of Israel

¹⁵ In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned in Tirzah seven days. The army was encamped near Gibbethon,^(A) a Philistine town.

²⁷ Baasha son of Ahijah from the tribe of Issachar plotted against him, and he struck him down^(A) at Gibbethon,^(B) a Philistine town, while Nadab and all Israel were besieging it.

³¹ As Jehu entered the gate, she asked, “Have you come in peace, you Zimri,^(A) you murderer of your master?”^[a]
