^3 (A)Also take ^[a]with you ten loaves, some cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him; he will tell you what will become of the child.”

⁷ Then Saul said to his servant, “But look, if we go, ^(A)what shall we bring the man? For the bread in our vessels is all gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?”

⁸ And the servant answered Saul again and said, “Look, I have here at hand one-fourth of a shekel of silver. I will give that to the man of God, to tell us our way.”

Elisha Feeds One Hundred Men^(A)

⁴² Then a man came from ^(B)Baal Shalisha, ^(C)and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, “Give it to the people, that they may eat.”

⁷ Then the king said to the man of God, “Come home with me and refresh yourself, and ^(A)I will give you a reward.”

³ Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.”

⁴⁷ When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. ⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, ^(A)“Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”

² And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die. ³ So when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, pleading with Him to come and heal his servant.

Death of Ben-Hadad

⁷ Then Elisha went to Damascus, and ^(A)Ben-Hadad king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, “The man of God has come here.” ⁸ And the king said to ^(B)Hazael, ^(C)“Take a present in your hand, and go to meet the man of God, and ^(D)inquire of the Lord by him, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this disease?’ ” ⁹ So ^(E)Hazael went to meet him and took a present with him, of every good thing of Damascus, forty camel-loads; and he came and stood before him, and said, “Your son Ben-Hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this disease?’ ”

¹⁵ And he returned to the man of God, he and all his aides, and came and stood before him; and he said, “Indeed, now I know that there is ^(A)no God in all the earth, except in Israel; now therefore, please take ^(B)a gift from your servant.”

⁵ Then the king of Syria said, “Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.”

So he departed and ^(A)took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing.
