^34 (A)And this thing was the sin of the house of Jeroboam, so as ^(B)to exterminate and destroy it from the face of the earth.

²⁹ And it was so, when he became king, that he killed all the house of Jeroboam. He did not leave to Jeroboam anyone that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according to ^(A)the word of the Lord which He had spoken by His servant Ahijah the Shilonite, ^30 (B)because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he had sinned and by which he had made Israel sin, because of his provocation with which he had provoked the Lord God of Israel to anger.

¹⁰ therefore behold! ^(A)I will bring disaster on the house of Jeroboam, and ^(B)will cut off from Jeroboam every male in Israel, ^(C)bond and free; I will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as one takes away refuse until it is all gone.

³⁰ Now this thing became ^(A)a sin, for the people went to worship before the one as far as Dan.

²¹ For ^(A)He tore Israel from the house of David, and ^(B)they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. Then Jeroboam drove Israel from following the Lord, and made them commit a great sin.

³¹ But Jehu ^[a]took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart; for he did not depart from ^(A)the sins of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin.

²⁶ And Jeroboam said in his heart, “Now the kingdom may return to the house of David:
