³¹ So it was, after he had buried him, that he spoke to his sons, saying, “When I am dead, then bury me in the tomb where the man of God is buried; ^(A)lay my bones beside his bones.

¹⁷ Then he said, “What gravestone is this that I see?”

So the men of the city told him, “It is ^(A)the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and proclaimed these things which you have done against the altar of Bethel.”

¹⁸ And he said, “Let him alone; let no one move his bones.” So they let his bones alone, with the bones of ^(B)the prophet who came from Samaria.

²² So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to ^(A)Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. ²³ And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Death Comes to All

¹⁰ Then I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of holiness, and they were ^(A)forgotten^[a] in the city where they had so done. This also is vanity.
