³⁰ Then he laid the body in his own tomb,^(A) and they mourned over him and said, “Alas, my brother!”^(B)

¹⁸ Therefore this is what the Lord says about Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah:

² Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him.

¹³ All Israel will mourn for him and bury him. He is the only one belonging to Jeroboam who will be buried, because he is the only one in the house of Jeroboam in whom the Lord, the God of Israel, has found anything good.^(A)
