¹⁸ Then King Rehoboam ^(A)sent Adoram, who was in charge of the revenue; but all Israel stoned him with stones, and he died. Therefore King Rehoboam mounted his chariot in haste to flee to Jerusalem.

⁶ Ahishar, over the household; and ^(A)Adoniram the son of Abda, over the labor force.

¹⁴ And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month in shifts: they were one month in Lebanon and two months at home; ^(A)Adoniram was in charge of the labor force.

²⁴ Adoram was ^(A)in charge of revenue; ^(B)Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;

⁵⁷ Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; ⁵⁸ and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And ^(A)the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.

²⁶ Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, ^(A)for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.
