²⁰ The sister of Tahpenes bore him a son named Genubath, whom Tahpenes brought up in the royal palace. There Genubath lived with Pharaoh’s own children.

²⁴ After he was weaned, she took the boy with her, young as he was, along with a three-year-old bull,^[a](A) an ephah^[b] of flour and a skin of wine, and brought him to the house of the Lord at Shiloh.

⁷ And she added, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”^(A)
