5 Ito ang aming narinig sa kanyang Anak at ipinapahayag naman namin sa inyo: ang Diyos ay liwanag at walang anumang kadiliman sa kanya.

Light and Darkness, Sin and Forgiveness
5 This is the message we have heard(E) from him and declare to you: God is light;(F) in him there is no darkness at all.
