God Is Love

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. ⁸ Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

¹² Yet to all who received Him, He gave the power to become sons of God, to those who believed in His name,

¹⁵ John bore witness of Him and cried out, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ” ¹⁶ We have all received from His fullness grace upon grace. ¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
