⁴ Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and ^(A)sin is lawlessness.

^41 (A)The Son of Man ^(B)will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom ^[a]all ^(C)stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, ⁴² and they ^(D)will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place ^(E)there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. ^43 (F)Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. ^(G)The one who has ears, ^[b]let him hear.

²³ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; ^(A)leave Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

⁴ For certain people have ^(A)crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand ^[a](B)marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn ^(C)the grace of our God into ^(D)indecent behavior and ^(E)deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

¹⁹ Nevertheless, the ^(A)firm foundation of God stands, having this ^(B)seal: “^(C)The Lord knows those who are His;” and, “^(D)Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to keep away from wickedness.”

²¹ Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from ^(A)these things, he will be an implement for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, ^(B)prepared for every good work.

⁷ For ^(A)the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only ^[a](B)He who now restrains will do so until ^[b]He is ^[c]removed.
