²⁰ for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.

God's Steadfast Love and Compassion

⁶ The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, ^(A)“The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and ^(B)gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast ^(C)love and faithfulness,

¹⁵ The saying is ^(A)trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus ^(B)came into the world to save sinners, ^(C)of whom I am the foremost.

²¹ So the servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in ^(A)the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ^(A)though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

^13 (A)And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God ^(B)made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, ¹⁴ by ^(C)canceling ^(D)the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.
