1 John 2:6-10

⁶ whoever says he ^(A)abides in him ^(B)ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.

The New Commandment

⁷ Beloved, I am writing you ^(C)no new commandment, but ^(D)an old commandment ^(E)that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard. ⁸ At the same time, it is ^(F)a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because^{[a] (G)}the darkness is passing away and ^(H)the true light is already shining. ⁹ Whoever says he is in the light and ^(I)hates his brother is still in darkness. ¹⁰ Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him^[b] there is no ^(J)cause for stumbling.
