1 John 2:10-12

New International Version

¹⁰Anyone who loves their brother and sister^[a] lives in the light,^(A) and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.^(B) ¹¹But anyone who hates a brother or sister^(C) is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness.^(D) They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.^(E)

Reasons for Writing

¹²I am writing to you, dear children,^(F)
because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.^(G)
