Testimony Concerning the Son of God

⁶ This is he who came ^(A)by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And ^(B)the Spirit is the one who testifies, because ^(C)the Spirit is the truth.

¹³ When ^(A)the Spirit of truth comes, ^(B)he will ^(C)guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but ^(D)whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

¹⁴ how much more will ^(A)the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit ^(B)offered himself without blemish to God, ^(C)purify our^[a] conscience ^(D)from dead works ^(E)to serve the living God.

²⁶ “But ^(A)when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, ^(B)he will bear witness about me.

²⁴ and to Jesus, ^(A)the mediator of a new covenant, and to ^(B)the sprinkled blood ^(C)that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

²⁴ And he said to them, ^(A)“This is my ^(B)blood of the^[a] covenant, which is poured out for ^(C)many.

¹⁴ I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of ^(A)the great tribulation. ^(B)They have washed their robes and ^(C)made them white ^(D)in the blood of the Lamb.

¹⁷ even ^(A)the Spirit of truth, ^(B)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and ^(C)will be^[a] in you.

¹⁴ but ^(A)whoever drinks of the water that I will give him ^(B)will never be thirsty again.^[a] The water that I will give him will become ^(C)in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
