¹⁴ And this is ^(A)the confidence that we have toward him, that ^(B)if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

^12 (A)Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, ^(B)and I will hear you. ^13 (C)You will seek me and find me, when you seek me ^(D)with all your heart.

^13 (A)Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that ^(B)the Father may be glorified in the Son.

^3 (A)Call to me and I will answer you, ^(B)and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

²¹ Beloved, ^(A)if our heart does not condemn us, ^(B)we have confidence before God; ²² and ^(C)whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and ^(D)do what pleases him.

⁷ If ^(A)you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ^(B)ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Ask, and It Will Be Given

^7 (A)“Ask, ^(B)and it will be given to you; ^(C)seek, and you will find; ^(D)knock, and it will be opened to you. ⁸ For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. ⁹ Or which one of you, if his son asks him for ^(E)bread, will give him ^(F)a stone? ¹⁰ Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? ¹¹ If you then, ^(G)who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will ^(H)your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

²² And ^(A)whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, ^(B)if you have faith.”
