²¹ And ^(A)this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

³⁷ Jesus said to him, ^(A)“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ ³⁸ This is the first and great commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like it: ^(B)‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

^18 (A)You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, ^(B)but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

¹¹ For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, ^(A)that we should love one another,

A Brotherly and Orderly Life

⁹ But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for ^(A)you yourselves are taught by God ^(B)to love one another;

Called to Blessing

⁸ Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be ^[a]courteous;

¹⁴ For ^(A)all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: ^(B)“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

⁹ For the commandments, ^(A)“You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” ^[a]“You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, ^(B)“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” ¹⁰ Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore ^(C)love is the fulfillment of the law.

^12 (A)This is My ^(B)commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

^34 (A)A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. ^35 (B)By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
