¹¹ I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.^(A)

²⁴ Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive,^(A) and your joy will be complete.^(B)

¹² I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face,^(A) so that our joy may be complete.^(B)

²⁴ Not that we lord it over^(A) your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm.^(B)

¹⁹ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge^(A)—that you may be filled^(B) to the measure of all the fullness of God.^(C)

²⁹ The bride belongs to the bridegroom.^(A) The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.^(B)

²⁵ Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, ²⁶ so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.
