3 Посмотрите, какую великую любовь дал нам Отец, чтобы мы были названы детьми Бога! И мы действительно Его дети! Мир потому нас не знает, что не познал Его. 2 Дорогие, теперь мы дети Божьи, а какими будем, еще неизвестно. Мы знаем только, что, когда Он придет[a], мы станем подобны Ему, потому что тогда увидим Его таким, каков Он есть. 3 Каждый, кто имеет эту надежду на Него, очищает себя, чтобы стать чистым, как Он.
4 Кто согрешает, тот творит беззаконие, потому что грех – это беззаконие. 5 Вы знаете, что Он был явлен для того, чтобы забрать грехи. В Нем Самом греха нет. 6 Кто живет в Нем, тот не любит грешить, а кто грешит, тот, значит, не видел Его и не познал Его.

Любовь друг к другу
11 Вот весть, которая была вам провозглашена еще вначале: мы должны любить друг друга. 12 Не будьте такими, как Каин[b]. Он был от лукавого и убил своего брата. А почему убил? Потому что его дела были злы, а дела его брата – праведны. 13 Не удивляйтесь, братья, если мир вас ненавидит. 14 Мы знаем, что уже перешли от смерти к жизни, потому что любим братьев. Тот, кто не любит, – тот еще во власти смерти. 15 Всякий, кто ненавидит своего брата, тот человекоубийца, а вы знаете, что ни в каком человекоубийце не может быть вечной жизни.
16 Любовь мы узнали в том, что Иисус отдал за нас Свою жизнь. И мы тоже должны быть готовы отдать жизнь за братьев. 17 Если человек, живущий в достатке, видит своего брата в нужде и не пожалеет его, то как в нем может быть Божья любовь? 18 Дети, давайте будем любить не только на словах, языком, но и на деле, истинной любовью. 19 И так мы сможем узнать, что мы от истины, и успокоим наше сердце перед Ним. 20 И даже если наше сердце осуждает нас, мы можем успокоить его, потому что Бог больше нашего сердца и знает все.
21 Дорогие, если сердце нас не осуждает, то мы можем со всей уверенностью приходить к Богу. 22 И о чем бы мы Его ни попросили, все получаем от Него, потому что соблюдаем Его повеления и делаем то, что угодно Ему. 23 Его повеление заключается в том, чтобы мы верили во имя Его Сына Иисуса Христа и любили друг друга, как Он повелел нам. 24 Тот, кто соблюдает Его повеления, – пребывает в Боге, и Бог в нем. И то, что Он пребывает в нас, мы узнаем по Духу, Которого Он дал нам.

3 Vedete quale amore il Padre ha profuso su di noi, facendoci chiamare figli di Dio. La ragione per cui il mondo non ci conosce è perché non ha conosciuto lui,
2 Carissimi, ora siamo figli di Dio, ma non è ancora stato manifestato ciò che saremo; sappiamo però che quando egli sarà manifestato, saremo simili a lui, perché lo vedremo come egli è.
3 E chiunque ha questa speranza in lui, purifichi se stesso, come egli è puro.
4 Chiunque commette il peccato, commette pure una violazione della legge; e il peccato è violazione della legge.
5 E voi sapete che egli è stato manifestato per togliere via i nostri peccati; e in lui non vi è peccato.
6 Chiunque dimora in lui non pecca chiunque pecca non l'ha visto né l'ha conosciuto.
7 Figlioletti, nessuno vi seduca: chi pratica la giustizia è giusto, come egli è giusto,
8 Chiunque commette il peccato è dal diavolo, perché il diavolo pecca dal principio; per questo è stato manifestato il Figlio di Dio: per distruggere le opere del diavolo.
9 Chiunque è nato da Dio non commette peccato, perché il seme di Dio dimora in lui e non può peccare perché è nato da Dio.
10 Da questo si riconoscono i figli di Dio e i figli del diavolo: chiunque non pratica la giustizia non è da Dio, e neppure lo è chi non ama il proprio fratello.
11 Poiché questo è l'annunzio che avete udito dal principio: che ci amiamo gli uni gli altri,
12 non come Caino, che era dal maligno e uccise il proprio fratello. E per quale motivo lo uccise? Perché le sue opere erano malvagie e quelle di suo fratello giuste.
13 Non vi meravigliate, fratelli miei, se il mondo vi odia.
14 Noi sappiamo di essere passati dalla morte alla vita, perché amiamo i fratelli; chi non ama il proprio fratello rimane nella morte.
15 Chiunque odia il proprio fratello è omicida, e voi sapete che nessun omicida ha la vita eterna dimorante in sé.
16 Da questo abbiamo conosciuto l'amore: egli ha dato la sua vita per noi anche noi dobbiamo dare la nostra vita per i fratelli.
17 Ora, se uno ha dei beni di questo mondo e vede il proprio fratello che è nel bisogno e gli chiude le sue viscere, come dimora in lui l'amore di Dio?
18 Figlioletti miei, non amiamo a parole né con la lingua, ma a fatti e in verità.
19 E da questo noi sappiamo di essere nella verità e tranquillizzeremo i nostri cuori davanti a lui;
20 poiché, se il nostro cuore ci condanna, Dio è piú grande del nostro cuore e conosce ogni cosa.
21 Carissimi, se il nostro cuore non ci condanna, abbiamo fiducia davanti a Dio
22 e qualunque cosa chiediamo, la riceviamo da lui, perché osserviamo i suoi comandamenti e facciamo le cose che gli sono gradite.
23 E questo è il suo comandamento, che crediamo nel nome del suo Figlio Gesú Cristo e ci amiamo gli uni gli altri come egli ci ha comandato.
24 Chi osserva i suoi comandamenti dimora in Dio, ed egli in lui; e da questo sappiamo che egli dimora in noi: dallo Spirito che egli ci ha dato.

3 See what great love(A) the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!(B) And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.(C) 2 Dear friends,(D) now we are children of God,(E) and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,[a](F) we shall be like him,(G) for we shall see him as he is.(H) 3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves,(I) just as he is pure.(J)
4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.(K) 5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins.(L) And in him is no sin.(M) 6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning.(N) No one who continues to sin has either seen him(O) or known him.(P)
7 Dear children,(Q) do not let anyone lead you astray.(R) The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.(S) 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil,(T) because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God(U) appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.(V) 9 No one who is born of God(W) will continue to sin,(X) because God’s seed(Y) remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. 10 This is how we know who the children of God(Z) are and who the children of the devil(AA) are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love(AB) their brother and sister.(AC)

11 For this is the message you heard(AD) from the beginning:(AE) We should love one another.(AF) 12 Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one(AG) and murdered his brother.(AH) And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous.(AI) 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters,[b] if the world hates you.(AJ) 14 We know that we have passed from death to life,(AK) because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.(AL) 15 Anyone who hates a brother or sister(AM) is a murderer,(AN) and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.(AO)
16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.(AP) And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.(AQ) 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them,(AR) how can the love of God be in that person?(AS) 18 Dear children,(AT) let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.(AU)
19 This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends,(AV) if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God(AW) 22 and receive from him anything we ask,(AX) because we keep his commands(AY) and do what pleases him.(AZ) 23 And this is his command: to believe(BA) in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ,(BB) and to love one another as he commanded us.(BC) 24 The one who keeps God’s commands(BD) lives in him,(BE) and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.(BF)
