2 son of Zadok, son of Ahi′tub, son of Amari′ah, son of Uzzi, son of Bukki, son of Abishu′a, son of Phineas, son of Elea′zar, son of Aaron the chief priest. 3 This Ezra came up from Babylon as a scribe skilled in the law of Moses, which was given by the God of Israel; 4 and the king showed him honor, for he found favor before the king[a] in all his requests.
