16 Au adus Chivotul lui Dumnezeu şi l-au aşezat în mijlocul cortului pe care i l-a întins David. Apoi au adus înaintea lui Dumnezeu arderi de tot şi jertfe de pace[a]. 2 După ce a terminat de adus arderile de tot şi jertfele de pace, David a binecuvântat poporul în Numele Domnului 3 şi a împărţit întregului Israel, fiecărui bărbat şi fiecărei femei, câte o pâine rotundă, o bucată de carne şi o turtă cu stafide. 4 Înaintea Chivotului i-a pus pe unii dintre leviţii slujitori ca să-L amintească, să-L mărturisească şi să-L laude pe Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel. 5 Asaf era căpetenia, Zaharia – al doilea în rang, iar Ieiel, Şemiramot, Iehiel, Matitia, Eliab, Benaia, Obed-Edom şi Ieiel cântau din harfe şi din lire. Asaf era pus să cânte la chimvale, 6 iar preoţii Benaia şi Iahaziel sunau continuu din trâmbiţe înaintea Chivotului Legământului cu Domnul.
Psalmul de laudă al lui David
7 Aşadar, în ziua aceea David i-a numit, pentru prima dată, pe Asaf şi pe rudele lui ca responsabili să aducă laude Domnului.
8 „Lăudaţi-L pe Domnul,
chemaţi Numele Lui,
faceţi cunoscute printre popoare faptele Lui!
9 Cântaţi-I, cântaţi în cinstea Lui,
vestiţi toate isprăvile Lui!
10 Făliţi-vă cu Numele Lui cel sfânt!
Să se bucure inima celor ce-L caută pe Domnul!
11 Căutaţi pe Domnul şi puterea Lui,
căutaţi totdeauna faţa Lui!
12 Aduceţi-vă aminte de minunile pe care le-a făcut,
de semnele şi de hotărârile gurii Sale,
13 sămânţă[b] a robului Său Israel,
fii ai lui Iacov, aleşii Lui!
14 El este Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru,
şi judecăţile Lui se împlinesc pe tot pământul.
15 Aduceţi-vă aminte[c] mereu de legământul Lui,
de cuvântul pe care l-a poruncit pentru o mie de generaţii,
16 de legământul pe care l-a încheiat cu Avraam,
de jurământul Lui către Isaac,
17 pe care l-a întărit faţă de Iacov printr-o hotărâre
şi faţă de Israel printr-un legământ veşnic,
18 spunând: «Ţie îţi voi da ţara Canaanului
ca parte a moştenirii voastre!»
19 Pe atunci erau doar câţiva bărbaţi
– puţini la număr – şi erau peregrini în ţară;[d]
20 călătoreau de la un neam la altul,
şi de la un regat la altul.
21 El nu a mai îngăduit nici unui om să-i asuprească
şi a mustrat regi de dragul lor:
22 «Nu vă atingeţi de unşii Mei
şi nu-i vătămaţi pe profeţii Mei!»
23 Cântaţi Domnului toţi locuitorii pământului!
Vestiţi în fiecare zi mântuirea Lui!
24 Istorisiţi printre neamuri slava Lui
şi printre toate popoarele – minunile Lui!
25 Căci mare este Domnul şi foarte vrednic să fie lăudat!
El este mai de temut decât toţi zeii!
26 Toţi zeii popoarelor sunt doar nişte idoli,
dar Domnul a făcut cerurile.
27 Măreţia şi strălucirea sunt înaintea feţei Lui,
iar puterea şi bucuria – în Locuinţa Lui.
28 Familii ale popoarelor, daţi Domnului,
daţi Domnului slavă şi cinstiţi-I puterea!
29 Daţi Domnului slava cuvenită Numelui Său!
Aduceţi un dar şi veniţi înaintea Lui!
Închinaţi-vă Domnului cu podoabe sfinte[e].
30 Tot pământul să tremure înaintea Lui!
Lumea stă neclintită şi nu poate fi clătinată.
31 Să se bucure cerurile şi să se înveselească pământul!
Să se spună printre neamuri: «Domnul împărăţeşte!»
32 Să vuiască marea şi tot ce este în ea,
să tresalte câmpia şi tot ce este pe ea!
33 Atunci copacii pădurii vor chiui înaintea Domnului,
căci El vine să judece pământul.
34 Lăudaţi pe Domnul, căci este bun!
Îndurarea[f] Lui ţine pe vecie![g]
35 Ziceţi: «Izbăveşte-ne, Dumnezeul mântuirii noastre,
strânge-ne şi izbăveşte-ne dintre neamuri,
ca să-Ţi lăudăm Numele Tău cel sfânt
şi să ne fălim aducându-Ţi laudă.»
36 Binecuvântat să fie Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel,
din veşnicie în veşnicie!“
Tot poporul a zis „Amin!“ şi L-a lăudat pe Domnul.
37 David i-a lăsat înaintea Chivotului Legământului cu Domnul pe Asaf şi pe rudele lui, ca să slujească întotdeauna înaintea Chivotului, împlinindu-şi datoria zi de zi. 38 L-a lăsat şi pe Obed-Edom împreună cu rudele lui, în număr de şaizeci şi opt. Obed-Edom, fiul lui Iedutun, şi Hosa erau portari. 39 David l-a pus pe preotul Ţadok împreună cu rudele lui, preoţii, înaintea Tabernaculului Domnului de pe înălţimea care era în Ghivon, 40 ca să aducă arderi de tot Domnului, pe altarul arderilor de tot, în fiecare dimineaţă şi în fiecare seară, potrivit cu tot ce este scris în Legea Domnului, pe care El a poruncit-o lui Israel. 41 Împreună cu ei se aflau Heman, Iedutun şi cei rămaşi dintre cei care fuseseră aleşi şi desemnaţi pe nume ca să-L laude pe Domnul, căci îndurarea Lui ţine pe vecie. 42 Heman şi Iedutun aveau cu ei trâmbiţe şi chimvale pentru cântăreţi, precum şi instrumente de cântat în cinstea lui Dumnezeu. Fiii lui Iedutun erau portari.
43 După aceea poporul a plecat, fiecare la casa lui, iar David s-a întors să-şi binecuvânteze familia.

16 El arca de Dios la trajeron y la colocaron en medio de la tienda que David había levantado para ella(A), y ofrecieron holocaustos y ofrendas de paz delante de Dios. 2 Cuando David terminó de ofrecer el holocausto y las ofrendas de paz, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre del Señor. 3 Y repartió a todos en Israel, tanto hombre como mujer, a cada uno una torta de pan, una porción de carne y una torta de pasas.
4 Designó a algunos levitas como ministros delante del arca del Señor, para que celebraran, dieran gracias y alabaran al Señor, Dios de Israel: 5 Asaf el jefe, y segundo después de él, Zacarías; después Jeiel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Matatías, Eliab, Benaía, Obed Edom y Jeiel, con instrumentos musicales, arpas, liras. También Asaf tocaba címbalos muy resonantes, 6 y los sacerdotes Benaía y Jahaziel tocaban trompetas continuamente delante del arca del pacto de Dios.

10 Gloríense en Su santo nombre;
Alégrese el corazón de los que buscan al Señor.
11 Busquen al Señor y Su fortaleza;
Busquen Su rostro continuamente(E).
12 Recuerden las maravillas que Él ha hecho(F),
Sus prodigios y los juicios de Su boca(G),
13 Oh simiente de Israel, Su siervo,
Hijos de Jacob, Sus escogidos.
14 Él es el Señor nuestro Dios;
Sus juicios están en toda la tierra(H).
15 Acuérdense de Su pacto para siempre,
De la palabra que ordenó a mil generaciones,
16 Del pacto que hizo con Abraham(I),

39 David dejó a Sadoc(AF) el sacerdote y a sus parientes los sacerdotes delante del tabernáculo del Señor en el lugar alto que estaba en Gabaón(AG), 40 para ofrecer continuamente holocaustos al Señor sobre el altar del holocausto, por la mañana y por la noche, conforme a todo lo que está escrito en la ley del Señor, que Él ordenó a Israel(AH). 41 Con ellos estaban Hemán(AI) y Jedutún, y los demás que fueron escogidos(AJ), que fueron designados por nombre, para dar gracias al Señor, porque para siempre es Su misericordia(AK). 42 Y con ellos estaban Hemán y Jedutún con trompetas y címbalos para los que harían resonancia, y con instrumentos para los cánticos de Dios(AL), y designó a los hijos de Jedutún como porteros. 43 Entonces todo el pueblo se fue, cada uno a su casa, y David se volvió para bendecir su casa(AM).

16 So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
2 And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
3 And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
4 And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to record, and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel:
5 Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;
6 Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
8 Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.
10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
11 Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.
12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
14 He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
19 When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
20 And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
23 Sing unto the Lord, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.
24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
25 For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
28 Give unto the Lord, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
29 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the Lord, because he cometh to judge the earth.
34 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.
36 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the Lord.
37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:
38 And Obededom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obededom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:
39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place that was at Gibeon,
40 To offer burnt offerings unto the Lord upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the Lord, which he commanded Israel;
41 And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because his mercy endureth for ever;
42 And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.
43 And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
