Jirán envía embajadores a David(A)
14 El rey Jirán de Tiro envió embajadores a David, y también madera de cedro, albañiles y carpinteros, para que le construyeran una casa. 2 Con esto David entendió que el Señor lo había confirmado como rey de Israel, y que había exaltado su reino sobre su pueblo Israel.
Hijos de David nacidos en Jerusalén(B)
3 David tomó otras mujeres en Jerusalén, y tuvo más hijos e hijas. 4 Éstos son los nombres de los hijos que le nacieron en Jerusalén: Samúa, Sobab, Natán, Salomón, 5 Ibejar, Elisúa, Elpelet, 6 Noga, Nefeg, Jafía, 7 Elisama, Beeliada y Elifelet.
David derrota a los filisteos(C)
8 Cuando los filisteos supieron que David había sido ungido rey de todo Israel, fueron en su busca. Pero al saberlo David, salió a enfrentarse con ellos. 9 Al llegar, los filisteos se extendieron por el valle de Refayin. 10 Entonces David consultó a Dios, y le dijo:
«¿Debo atacar a los filisteos? ¿Los entregarás en mi mano?»
Y el Señor le dijo:
«Atácalos, que yo los entregaré en tus manos.»
11 Los filisteos llegaron a Baal Perasín, y allí David los derrotó. Después de eso, David dijo:
«Con mi mano Dios partió en dos a mis enemigos, como si abriera en dos las aguas.»
Por eso el nombre de aquel lugar fue llamado «Baal Perasín».[a] 12 Allí los filisteos dejaron a sus dioses, y David ordenó que los quemaran.
13 Pero los filisteos volvieron a extenderse por el valle, 14 así que David volvió a consultar a Dios, y Dios le dijo:
«No los ataques de frente, sino rodéalos, para que los ataques frente a las balsameras. 15 Así, cuando oigas un estruendo por las copas de las balsameras, lánzate a la batalla, porque yo saldré delante de ti y heriré al ejército de los filisteos.»
16 David hizo lo que Dios le ordenó, y derrotaron al ejército de los filisteos desde Gabaón hasta Guézer. 17 Y la fama de David se extendió por todas aquellas tierras, y el Señor infundió el temor ante David en todas las naciones.

Давуд в Иерусалиме(A)
14 Хирам, царь Тира, отправил к Давуду послов, каменщиков, плотников, а также кедровые брёвна, чтобы построить ему дворец. 2 И Давуд понял, что Вечный утвердил его царём над Исраилом и что высоко вознесено его царство ради Его народа Исраила.
3 В Иерусалиме Давуд взял себе ещё жён, и у него родились ещё сыновья и дочери. 4 Вот имена детей, которые родились у него в Иерусалиме:
Шаммуа, Шовав, Нафан, Сулейман, 5 Ивхар, Элишуа, Элфелет, 6 Ногах, Нефег, Иафия, 7 Элишама, Элиада и Элифелет.
Поражения филистимлян(B)
8 Услышав о том, что Давуд помазан в цари над всем Исраилом, все филистимляне отправились искать его, но Давуд узнал об этом и выступил против них. 9 Филистимляне пришли и принялись разбойничать в долине Рефаим.
10 И Давуд спросил Аллаха:
– Идти ли мне на филистимлян? Отдашь ли Ты их мне?
Вечный ответил ему:
– Иди, Я отдам их в твои руки.
11 Давуд со своими воинами пошёл к Баал-Перациму и разбил их там. Он сказал:
– Как вода прорывает запруду, так и Аллах разбил моих врагов моей рукой.
(Поэтому то место и было названо Баал-Перацим («господин прорыва»).)
12 Филистимляне бросили там своих богов, и по приказу Давуда их сожгли.
13 И снова филистимляне принялись разбойничать в долине. 14 Давуд вновь спросил Аллаха, и Аллах ответил ему:
– Не нападай на них отсюда, но обойди их и напади на них со стороны бальзамовых деревьев. 15 Как только ты услышишь в вершинах бальзамовых деревьев шум, как от шагов, тотчас же вступай в бой, потому что Аллах пошёл перед тобой, чтобы разбить войско филистимлян.
16 Давуд сделал так, как повелел ему Аллах, и исраильтяне разили филистимское войско всю дорогу от Гаваона до Гезера. 17 Слава Давуда прошла по всем странам, и Вечный навёл страх перед ним на все народы.

David’s Family Enlarged
14 (A)Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David with cedar trees, masons, and carpenters, to build a house for him. 2 And David realized that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that his kingdom was highly exalted, for the sake of His people Israel.
3 Then David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David fathered more sons and daughters. 4 (B)These are the names of the children [a]born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, 5 Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet, 6 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 7 Elishama, Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
Philistines Defeated
8 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up in search of David; and David heard about it and went out against them. 9 Now the Philistines had come and (C)carried out a raid in the Valley of Rephaim. 10 David inquired of God, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? And will You hand them over to me?” Then the Lord said to him, “Go up, for I will hand them over to you.” 11 So they came up to Baal-perazim, and David [b]defeated them there; and David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like the breakthrough of waters.” Therefore they named that place [c]Baal-perazim. 12 They abandoned their gods there; so David gave the order and they were burned with fire.
13 The Philistines carried out (D)yet another raid in the valley. 14 David inquired again of God, and God said to him, “You shall not go up after them; circle around [d]behind them and come at them in front of the baka-shrubs. 15 When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the baka-shrubs, then you shall go out to battle, for God will have gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines.” 16 David did just as God had commanded him, and they defeated the army of the Philistines from [e]Gibeon even as far as Gezer. 17 Then the fame of David spread in all the lands; and (E)the Lord brought the fear of him on all the nations.

14 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedar logs,(B) stonemasons and carpenters to build a palace for him. 2 And David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel and that his kingdom had been highly exalted(C) for the sake of his people Israel.
3 In Jerusalem David took more wives and became the father of more sons(D) and daughters. 4 These are the names of the children born to him there:(E) Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, 5 Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet, 6 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 7 Elishama, Beeliada[a] and Eliphelet.
David Defeats the Philistines(F)
8 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel,(G) they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard about it and went out to meet them. 9 Now the Philistines had come and raided the Valley(H) of Rephaim; 10 so David inquired of God: “Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hands?”
The Lord answered him, “Go, I will deliver them into your hands.”
11 So David and his men went up to Baal Perazim,(I) and there he defeated them. He said, “As waters break out, God has broken out against my enemies by my hand.” So that place was called Baal Perazim.[b] 12 The Philistines had abandoned their gods there, and David gave orders to burn(J) them in the fire.(K)
13 Once more the Philistines raided the valley;(L) 14 so David inquired of God again, and God answered him, “Do not go directly after them, but circle around them and attack them in front of the poplar trees. 15 As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move out to battle, because that will mean God has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.” 16 So David did as God commanded him, and they struck down the Philistine army, all the way from Gibeon(M) to Gezer.(N)
17 So David’s fame(O) spread throughout every land, and the Lord made all the nations fear(P) him.
